IPF Editor 2.x Using ACViewport Tags
Questions and Answers
Do I
Really have to program to use the ACVIEWPORT command?
Yes. You must have a
Communications Object DLL available to receive the acviewport's instructions.
For more details on writing Communications Object DLL's see the IBM IPF User's
Guide and Reference.
Editing Document Headers
See this sections for answers to questions about editing
document headers.
What types of things go in the user editable
portion of the document header?
Generally you will only use this
to place comments (&per.*) in the document heading. It is also handy to fix
any problems in files generated with other IPF tools and lets you have direct
access to those problems.
When do I use the Edit Document
Header command?
Use it when you want to generate a non-standard
VIEW or HLP document. Generally this is only a concern when you use panel
heading levels of five or greater or if you wish to modify the document size and
position. You can also use it to create and modify the push buttons displayed in
both the VIEW program and the Help Manager.
Can I Modify the
push buttons displayed in the VIEW program?
Yes. Use the "IPF
commands, Special commands, Edit document header" command. Then select "Change
Push Button Defs".
