Product Updates for Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander 2.x

Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander 2.x has the following updates available:

CAD Commander 2.52
(July 28, 1998, 476K)
This update to Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander 2.5 fixes problems reported by customers including errors in displaying the swapper space available  on large HPFS drives, some alarm problems, adds the ability to turn off most of the beeps when Ctrl+Alt+Del is pressed, and adds support for the Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander Programmer's Toolkit.  This also provides a more robust replacement PM shell, fixes some minor problems in the full-screen CAD Commander, and changes the Shutdown OS/2 dialog so there are separate push buttons for the "Shut down" and "Shutdown and Reboot" options.   This version has been tested with all versions of Warp up through Warp 4 Fixpack 7.

To install this update do the following:
  • Download the update file (CC252UPD.ZIP, 450K)
  • Unzip it into your CAD Commander directory (/CADCMDR) (be sure to use the "-d" for directory option if you are using PKUNZIP)
  • Stop all other programs.
  • From an OS/2 Window enter the \CADCMDR directory
  • Type "CC252UPD" and wait while the update process takes place.
  • Shutdown and restart your system.

You must have CAD Commander 2.5 installed to run this update.  If you have not yet updated your CAD Commander 2.0x to 2.5, then please download and apply that update first.

CAD Commander 2.5 Conversion Utility Update
(March 9, 1998, 120K)
This update of the CAD Commander 2.5 conversion utility adds additional conversions and fixes several minor problems with existing conversions.  To install this download the file into your \CADCMDR directory.  Then run "UNZIP CC25CNV" (if using PKUNZIP type "PKUNZIP -d CC25CNV").  Then shutdown and restart your system.
You'll want to download this update if your CCSLCNV.DLL is dated before March 6, 1998.

Fix for installing CAD Commander 2.5 with Warp 3.0 with no fixpacks available
(March 9, 1998, 53K)
If you experience the situation where CAD Commander will not install properly and you have Warp 3.0 (Blue or Red) with no fixpacks installed download this patch file.  To use it review the CC25W3FX.TXT file very carefully as you must perform the installation steps exactly as described or the patch will not work correctly.  Alternatively, installing the latest Warp 3.0 fixpack should fix the problem.

This fixes a specific problem where, after installation of CAD Commander 2.5, during the first reboot your system's Workplace Shell fails repeatedly (it starts, then quits, then restarts).  We apologize to our Warp 3.0 customers who have experienced this problem.

CAD Commander 2.51 Status Line Update
(March 9, 1998, 129K)
This update fixes several problems with the Status Line's CONFIG.SYS Editor, as well as fixes several other minor problems.  This update applies to all versions of the CAD Commander 2.5 Status Line (i.e. if your CADCSTAT.EXE isn't dated March 9, 1998 or later, you'll want this update).

CAD Commander 2.5 Update from 2.0
(Refreshed Jan 9, 1998)
This update requires that you have CAD Commander 2.0 installed.

CAD Commander 2.5 Install Program Update
(February 5, 1998, 59K)
If you experience a situation where the CAD Commander 2.5 installation causes your system to fail during the initial reboot (and you are not running Warp 3.0 with no fixpacks) you will need to download this file and extract the INSTALL.EXE program onto your CAD Commander disk 1.  This will fix problems with CONFIG.SYS files that do not use standard formats for the PATH, PROTSHELL, and BOOKSHELF statements.  You can tell that this fix will help you if, after you've run the installation process you currently have, new PATH and BOOOKSHELF statements are appended to the end of your CONFIG.SYS.
This INSTALL update is also compatible with CAD Commander 2.0 and 1.5 and may be copied onto the Disk for either of these products.

If you are running Warp 3.0 with no fixpacks, please download this update as well as the "Fix for Installing CAD Commander 2.5 with Warp 3.0 with No Fixpacks."

CAD Commander 2.5 Status Line Help Update
(Jan 10, 1998, 47K)
Get this if the help you see in the Status Line doesn't appear when using the CONFIG.SYS Editor or if you downloaded the CAD Commander 2.5 update before January 10, 1998.  When you download this file place it in your /CADCMDR directory, then unzip it using "UNZIP CC25HFIX".  Shutdown and reboot your system and the new help will be ready to use.
