How do I adjust the automatic incrementation of res attributes?

Use the "Options, Preferences, Editing notebook page". It contains a field that lets you define what value to use as the automatic incrementor.



Why can't I create duplicate res attributes for more than one panel?

The IPF language considers it illegal to have two panels with the same res attribute. For this reason, the IPF Editor won't let you create two panels with the same res attribute.
