IPF Editor 2.x Previewing Panels Q&A

Why do some previews only fill the bottom right corner of the display?

The Preview function attempts to duplicate the size and location of panels just as the VIEW program or the Help Manager would.

VIEW documents, by default, fill the upper 85% of the display and help documents fill the 35% of the display (either the right or the left side based on which window has the focus when the help is requested - the Preview always places it on the right side).

Why do I have to dismiss the Preview?

You should always dismiss (by pressing ESC or double left clicking on it's system menu) the Preview window when you are done examining it. This saves memory and prevents confusion since every time you select the preview function a new preview window is created.

Why do some tags not show up in the Preview?

The IPF Editor Preview function shows 90% of all of the standard IPF tags and attributes. The additional tags were either not very important to most users or represent things such as footnotes or hypergraphics links which we chose not to support. Future versions of the Preview module may support this. Check out the PCS Support BBS or our internet address for updates.
