The IPF Editor 2.12 consists of several windows which let you quickly generate IPF documents and context sensitive help.
The main window, shown in the top-left half of the picture above (snapshot from verison 2.0, 2.1 similar), contains the main menu and the Panel Editing Workspace(TM). Using the Panel Editing Workspace you can quickly add text to IPF panels (each of which are contained in their own Panel Editing window, also shown above).
The IPF Editor Toolbox(TM) contains tools for nearly every IPF command, and those not directly supported by the toolbox are supported by the IPF Editor's "IPF commands" menu. The "flyover" menu descriptions and more detailed descriptions for each tool let you get productive quickly.
The IPF Editor Panel List(TM) lets you create and manipulate IPF panels. The Panel List gives the appearance of an IPF documents table of contents so you will know what your document's layout is quickly and easily. Using it you can easily move one or multiple panels to place them in any order you desire. You can also create footnotes and their hypertext links with the simple click of your mouse button.
The IPF Editor History Window shows you a list of what panels you have edited, what files have been loaded and saved, as well as reports any problems detected in IPF files loaded that were created by other editors.
